{"id":908,"date":"2024-03-28T11:41:23","date_gmt":"2024-03-28T11:41:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/grandbassamproject.net\/ateliers\/?page_id=908"},"modified":"2025-03-17T18:13:47","modified_gmt":"2025-03-17T18:13:47","slug":"regulation","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/grandbassamproject.net\/ateliers\/en\/regulation\/","title":{"rendered":"Regulation"},"content":{"rendered":"\t\t<div data-elementor-type=\"wp-page\" data-elementor-id=\"908\" class=\"elementor elementor-908\" data-elementor-post-type=\"page\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3cd0665c e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"3cd0665c\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-699235 e-con-full e-flex e-con e-child\" data-id=\"699235\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-535e89b9 e-con-full e-flex e-con e-child\" data-id=\"535e89b9\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-222cf208 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"222cf208\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>Les Ateliers de Grand-Bassam 2025<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-531a36d e-con-full e-flex e-con e-child\" data-id=\"531a36d\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f2ef7bb elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"f2ef7bb\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>Article 1: Liability<\/strong><\/p><p>Grand-Bassam Project ensures the artistic direction, the practical organization and freely chooses the resource persons of the project.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>Article 2: Dates and place<\/strong><\/p><p>Les Ateliers de Grand-Bassam will take place in Grand-Bassam, Ivory Coast, from will take place from 31 August to 6 September 2025\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p><p>The deadline for registration is <strong>May 1<sup>st<\/sup> 2025.<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>Article 3: Objectives<\/strong><\/p><p>Les Ateliers de Grand-Bassam development and co-production laboratory\u2019s main goal is to <strong>strengthen the competitiveness<\/strong> of African directors and producers <strong>to get to different major international laboratories<\/strong> and <strong>to attend international residencies<\/strong>, <strong>local funding<\/strong>, international <strong>co-productions<\/strong> and their close <strong>collaboration with established mentors<\/strong> from the continent.<\/p><p>In <strong>2025<\/strong>, Les Ateliers de Grand-Bassam offers writers-directors an opportunity to develop their projects, train in presentation techniques and make contact with potential partners.<\/p><p><strong>Article 4: Number of projects and candidates<\/strong><\/p><p>Les Ateliers de Grand-Bassam intends to select ten (10) projects and invite the writers-directors <strong><u>EXCLUSIVELY<\/u><\/strong> to the residential incubation phase.<\/p><p>These project leaders will be put in touch with mentors to work before, during and after the Lab.\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>Article 5: Target Audience<\/strong><\/p><p>Les Ateliers de Grand-Bassam are dedicated to film projects from all over Africa.<\/p><ul><li>Each project must be presented by a director.<\/li><li>Proof of African nationality is required.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Article 6: Formats and genres <\/strong><\/p><p>Eligible projects must be:<\/p><ul><li>\u00a0Feature films (more than 60 min) \u2013<\/li><li>Series including at least 3 \u00e9pisodes &#8211; fictions or documentaries. The total duration of the 3 episodes must be at least 60 minutes<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Article 7: Composition and language of the application<\/strong><\/p><p>The files must be written in French or English.<\/p><p>Any candidate can submit maximum 2 projects.<\/p><p>The registration file includes:<\/p><p><strong>For long features<\/strong><\/p><ol><li>The synopsis (1 page maximum)<\/li><li>The treatment (10 pages maximum) or the scenario<\/li><li>The Director&#8217;s statement (maximum 1 page)<\/li><li>The Director&#8217;s CV (focusing on filmography)<\/li><li>Visual elements (location scouting, sets, casting, moodboard, teaser&#8230;)<\/li><li>A copy of the director&#8217;s passport, proving his or her nationality from an eligible country<\/li><li>A Vimeo, Youtube or GooleDrive screening link of the most relevant to this application previous work directed by the director (short and feature films are accepted)<\/li><li>If available: Detailed project budget (in local currency and euros)<\/li><\/ol><p><strong>For series<\/strong><\/p><ol><li>The synopsis (1 page maximum)<\/li><li>The moni-bible (10 pages maximum &#8211; 3*26 minutes)<\/li><li>The Director&#8217;s statement (maximum 1 page)<\/li><li>The Director&#8217;s CV (focusing on filmography)<\/li><li>Visual elements (location scouting, sets, casting, moodboard, teaser&#8230;)<\/li><li>A copy of the director&#8217;s passport, proving his or her nationality from an eligible country<\/li><li>A Vimeo, Youtube or GooleDrive screening link of the most relevant to this application previous work directed by the director (short and feature films are accepted)<\/li><li>If available: Detailed project budget (in local currency and euros)<\/li><\/ol><p><strong>Article 8: Registration modalities<\/strong><\/p><p>Registration is free and can be done online at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ateliersdegrandbassam.net\">www.ateliersdegrandbassam.net<\/a> \u00a0from <strong>March 18<sup>th<\/sup> \u00a02025.<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>Article 9: Deadline for registration and shipping address<\/strong><\/p><p>Registration on the platform of the site must be done <strong>before<\/strong> <strong>May 1<sup>st<\/sup> \u00a02025 at 00:00 GMT.<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>Article 10: Preselection<\/strong><\/p><p>Any project whose documentation is incomplete at the closing of the call for projects will be excluded from the selection.<\/p><p><strong>Article 11: Official Prizes<\/strong><\/p><p>At the end of the residency training, meetings, and project pitching, several awards will be given to the best projects: <strong>grants for script writing residencies<\/strong> in Africa or in Europe.<\/p><p><strong>Article 12: Services offered<\/strong><\/p><p>To the best of its ability, <strong>Les Ateliers de Grand-Bassam<\/strong> will cover the cost of travel to and from Grand-Bassam from the participant&#8217;s city of residence (<strong><u>on the African continent<\/u><\/strong>), as well as the cost of accommodation for the selected participants, including breakfast, lunch and dinner.<\/p><p><strong>The visa costs are the responsibility of the participants of the selected projects.<\/strong><\/p><p>All the participants of the selected projects have the obligation to participate to all the activities of the lab during the whole week.<\/p><p><strong>Article 13: counterparties<\/strong><\/p><p>Holders of selected projects commit to:<\/p><ol><li>Add in the communication material of the finished film the words <strong>\u201cWith the participation of Les Ateliers de Grand-Bassam\u201d.<\/strong><\/li><li>This mention will show the logo \u201c<strong>Les Ateliers de Grand-Bassam<\/strong>\u201d in the credits of the film. Les Ateliers de Grand-Bassam logo will be provided by Generation Films and must not, under any circumstances, be modified without its approval. All publications using the logo must receive the prior \u201cprint receipt\u201d.<\/li><li><strong>Regularly inform<\/strong> the Les Ateliers de Grand-Bassam team of the development and life events of these projects, in particular information on changes in production status, release date, participation in a festival, awards received, national and international diffusion and especially all useful information allowing to follow the life of the projects selected by Les Ateliers de Grand-Bassam.<\/li><li><strong>Give a free copy<\/strong> to Les Ateliers de Grand-Bassam of the final edition of the film for archival purposes. This downloadable link or file will not be entrusted to a third person without the prior authorization of the director or producer.<\/li><\/ol><p><strong>Article 14: Information and information. <\/strong><\/p><p>Participation in the selection process implies <strong>full and unreserved acceptance of these rules.<\/strong><\/p><p>The rules are deemed accepted at the end of the online registration procedure, once it has been validated by the candidate.<\/p><p>The Collective reserves the right to modify the conditions for awarding the prizes or to cancel them and cannot incur any liability in this regard.
